GBC - Introductory courses to the Bible, background of Bible times and
places and Bible study methods.
Bible Books Courses
BBC -
Books of the Bible, their history, literature, theology and practical
applications.
Pastoral Studies PST -
This includes general and the subdivisions of Christian Education, as well
as some of the specific pastoral studies in theology, administration and
leadership, internship and church growth.
Christian Spirituality
CST - Includes worship, prayer, spiritual disciplines and gifts. There
is also a course on worldview, spiritual armour and defenses, the call of
God for full-time ministry, and Christian ethics.
Evangelistic and
Missions Courses EMC - This division includes basic
evangelism, introduction to missions, world religions and cults, history of
missions, theology and practice of missionary work, as well as work on
culture shock and North American culture for those working in North America.
General Studies GST - These
courses cover church history, apologetics, introduction to philosophy,
Biblical languages of Greek and Hebrew. and Biblical hermeneutics, for
Biblical understanding of the world and Biblical interpretation.
Introduction to Counseling and Premarital counseling with Biblical emphasis.

The students will work together to organize and lead the daily chapel for
themselves and staff - leading worship through the arts and music and
devotional speaking
Christian Spirituality - CST 105
Two aspects in particular are emphasized in this course. Theology and
practice of prayer, how to lead others in prayer. The spiritual disciplines,
gifts, and work of the Holy Spirit. Emphasis on encouraging the spiritual
growth of the students.
Spiritual Foundations for Ministry - CST

The basics of our Christian walk based on the stance of spiritual warfare –
how to deal with our spiritual enemy. The western Christian worldview
problem, warfare relationships, (the spiritual realm) Christians under
attack, (using our spiritual armour) Christians on the spiritual
attack-using our sword (the Word of God) and faith.
Preparation for Ministry - CST 300 2
The call of God on the Christian leader’s life, particularly on those in
full time ministry, here or overseas. Biblical examples of the call of God
on various leaders in the Old and New Testaments. What ministry is- for
pastors and missionaries.
Christian Ethics – CST 310 2
Christian ethics as taken from theology. To love God first, mankind as made
in God’s image-with certain implications, sin and redemption. Application of

Cultural Adaptation - EMC 305 2
Dealing with culture shock and adapting to other cultures when living
overseas. Some practical homework applications to practice with.
North American Culture - EMC 306 2
This is a course for those working/living here so that they understand the
culture they are living in, which may be quite different than their own.
Some basics of North American/Canadian thinking and practices which should
resolve or help prevent the usual cross-cultural communication problems.
Cults and World Religions – EMC 307 2
Study of various cults and world religions in contrast to Christianity.
Major cults and their impact discussed. The world religions of Islam,
Judaism, Animism, Hinduism and Buddhism are all discussed. New Age is a
clever synthesis of many Eastern religions.
Theology and Practice of Missions – EMC

OT theology of Mission. NT theology of mission. Mission in the gospels.

Church History – GST 100
A quick glance at the church from it’s inception and growth throughout
history. This course will help the student to understand the history of the
church in general from Acts on to the present day.
Apologetics – GST 205-2
The defense of the Christian faith. A study of various authors and ways this
has been done with a focus on careful prayerful attitude towards those who
do not believe. This is a prerequisite for Cults and Religions course.
Hermeneutics – GST 210-2
Intro to Biblical interpretation which uses Scripture’s historical,
cultural, grammatical and literary contexts, genre and context of the reader
Introduction to Philosophy - GST 300-2
The history of philosophy and its basic tenets and how the Christian can
stand on Biblical principles of hope and faith in Christ when philosophy has
no answers. This course is a good look at worldviews in general.
Introduction to Counseling - GST 320-2
The basics of understanding counseling included with some practical
experience. Taught from a Christian perspective. A prerequisite course for
Premarital Counseling.
Premarital Counseling - GST 420
A pastoral course on premarital counseling – the Christian family, values,
roles, expectations and practical help on finances and understanding each
other.
Time Management - GST 412-2
This course goes through some basic time management techniques, which are
very helpful for today’s busy pastor in an increasing multitasking world.
The students go through their own daily schedules as an example of what can
be improved.
Intro to NT Greek – GST 301-2
Vocabulary, grammar and conjugations; students will be enabled to use the
reference tools.
Greek II – GST 302-2
Greek III Exegesis – GST 403-2
An introductory course into Greek exegesis.
Greek IV Exegesis - GST 404-
This course takes a book of the New Testament and exegetes it carefully.
Hebrew I – GST 405-2
The beginning course introduces the Biblical Hebrew alphabet, grammar and
verbs.
Hebrew II – GST 406-2
More practical work on Hebrew language and interpretation of Scripture.
